Campout is at the same great location as last year. We had a lot of positive comments about the group site. There is plenty of parking for RVs and tents. There are two main areas for RVs on one side, and three tent areas on the other with gathering and tent space in the middle. If you don’t have a tent or an RV, Woodland Park is a short drive south with motels and hotels (for some, camping the way it should be).
Red Rocks Group Campground is located 4 miles north of the town of Woodland Park, Colorado on highway 67. Visitors enjoy the area for hiking, biking and visiting the nearby 5-acre Manitou Lake.
This rustic group site is situated in a ponderosa pine forest at an elevation of 8,200 feet. A nearby hiking trail leads to a unique red sandstone formation. Most of Red Rocks Group Campground is shaded by ponderosa pine trees.
Woodland Park is where campers can find gas, groceries, dining and shopping. Garden of the Gods is a popular attraction near Colorado Springs. This free park offers hiking trails, rock climbing routes, a visitor center and cafe.
Pikes Peak lies west of Manitou Springs, which is about 15 miles from the campground. Visitors can hike, bike, or drive to the summit of this beautiful mountain.
Manitou Lake is just a short ride north of the campground, so bring your fishing and photo equipment.
If you are interested in coming down early, you can stay and split the cost of the additional nights with the other attendee’s. The cost will be split per person, per night. The more we have the less the cost.
Carmen’s will be catering the campout again this year. They did a bang-up job for us last year. They also did the Holiday party this past December. We have a good relationship with them and they have a good time with us and will join in on the fun.Click here for Camp Out Information and Registration Click here for Camp Out Agenda
